WHAT WE BELIEVE IN

Welcome Home to Revival House Church

It’s good to have you in the house today! We are blessed to worship God with you! Let’s make a joyful noise and lift up praises to the Lord of Lords. We are in a miraculous and historic season of God outpouring!

God made us a family before He made as a church. We encourage you to read this brochure to understand more about our family worship and beliefs.

We believe:

  1. THE BIBLE - is God’s inspired, authoritative and infallible word. It is our standard for faith and practice.

  2. GOD - is the one true God revealed in the persons of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created us in His own image; redeemed us with the shed blood of His son, Jesus Christ; and is the sovereign ruler of our lives by His indwelling Holy Spirit.

  3. JESUS - is the divine Son of God, virgin born and conceived of the Holy Spirit. His death on the cross and His shed blood paid the price for the sins of humanity so that man can have eternal life by believing in Him. Jesus is now at the right hand of the Father making intercession for the Believers, and He will return to earth in power and glory.

  4. HOLY SPIRIT - convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. He indwells the believer at conversion and will fill/baptize the believer both spirit, soul and body when the believer desires and asks.

  5. HEAVEN - We believe Heaven is a place for all the redeemed of the Lord after death.

  6. HELL - is a place for all unredeemed humanity, a place of eternal punishment for the lost sinner after death.

We also believe and maintain the following ordinances:

Water Baptism - illustrates the death burial of Jesus and the beginning of new life in Christ for the believer.

Lord’s Supper - Taken to show forth the broken body and shed blood of Jesus until he returns.

We believe in evangelism, missions and Christian commitment to see the Word of God spread throughout this universe.

This is a condensed version of our beliefs; more details are given in Newcomers’ Orientation Class.

Why do we…?

Stand when we sing?

“And the Levites,… of the children of Korhites, stood up to praise the Lord God of Israel with a loud voice on high.”   2 Chronicles 20:19

Clap our hands?

“O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” Psalm 47:1

Dance?

“Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with timbrel and harp.” Psalm 149:3

Have audible praise unto God?

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 103:1)

Have this type of worship?

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:23-34

Have musical instruments in our worship service?

“Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet; praise Him with the psaltry and harp. Praise Him with the timbrel and dance. Praise Him with the stringed instruments and organs. Praise Him upon the loud cymbals; praise Him up on the high sounding cymbals.” Psalm 47:1 psalm 150:3

Why do we…?

Speak in tongues, use prophetic gifts?

“Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophecy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.”

1 Corinthians 14:39

The whole church pray at once for specific needs?

And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven and earth…” Acts 4:24

Anoint with oil and pray for the sick?

“Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: and the prayer offered in faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up, and if he has committed sins, they will be forgiven him.” James 5:14,15

Emphasize Evangelism?

“And the Lord said unto his servant, oh out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” Luke 14:23

Emphasize holiness?

“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14

Sing in tongues and in English?

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit praise, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” 1 Corinthians 14:14-15

New members orientation is held every Sunday morning at 9 AM in classroom number one. Please be our guest and join us.
